Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

We are currently recruiting a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to work in Orange Park, Florida in a 317-bed facility known for its high-quality services including cardiovascular care, a level 2 NICU, and the only level 2 trauma center in the area. The hospital has won many awards to include the Gold Plus Stroke Achievement Award and was recognized as a Top Performer on Quality Measures by the Joint Commission.

Job Responsibilities of the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist:

  • You will assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time to supply care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare members.
  • Help in the procedures and cardia device implantations performed in the Cath/EP lab.
  • You will be the subject matter expert of all invasive procedures and prepare patients appropriately according to policy.
  • Duties include circulating, monitoring patients during cath lab procedures, and performing sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures, and other cardiac procedures.
  • Handle stocking and documenting supplies, patient billing, and coding of procedures.
Job Qualifications of the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist:
  • Graduate of an associate degree or bachelor's degree program in health sciences including, but not limited to, (cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). An RN diploma would also be acceptable.
  • BLS and ACLS are required.
  • RCIS or RCES certification or eligible to sit for the exam.
  • Cath lab experience is preferred, willing to accept a pending license.
  • Willing to consider new grads and someone without acute care experience if the experience is strong and if they are RCIS eligible.
Compensation and Benefits of the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist:
  • Salary: $27.09-$35.82, depending on years of experience.
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation available, up to $10k.
