RN - Progressive Care Unit

We are currently recruiting a full-time night Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit in Dallas, Texas to practice in an 87-bed state-of-the-art hospital. The hospital offers a wide array of cardiac care to include vascular and heart surgery. The facility also includes a spine center that treats rare and common spinal disorders.

Job Responsibilities of the PCU RN:

  • Manages the nursing care of critically ill patients IAW with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act.
  • Plan and provide individual goal-directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual, family, and community.
  • Accountability for their practice and care coordination.
  • Practice autonomously utilizing evidence-based practices.
Job Qualifications of the PCU RN:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, ADN required, BSN required within 24 months of hire.
  • At least one year of experience in a critical care unit within the last three years.
  • Experience working with high acuity CVICU/Medical/Surgical patients.
  • Will consider candidates without CVICU experience if more than three years of solid ICU experience.
  • Must have experience with post-cardiovascular; take art lines and drip titration.
  • Experience with cardiovascular/telemetry patients preferred.
  • Texas RN license or compact.
  • BLS required, ACLS within six months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits of the PCU RN:
  • Salary: $28.64-42.95; depending on years of experience.
  • The shift differential for weekends is $4.30 an hour and nights $3.75.
  • Relocation assistance up to $3k and sign-on bonus up to $10k with a two-year commitment.
  • Matching 401(k) contributions ranging from 3-9%.
  • PTO starting at 4 weeks per year.
