Distributor Strategic Account Manager

Our Client is a global industry leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products is currently seeking a Distributor Strategic Account Manager in the Montreal, Canada area.

In this position you will be responsible for managing the distributor POA sales activity on a day to day basis. Work together with our personnel in various functional areas of the company to facilitate discussions to maximize the success of the distributor as it relates to our budget and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Prepares an annual business plan, monitors performance and presents changes as required to achieve budget.
  • Participates in quarterly branch planning meetings. Works with sales to assist in branch growth strategies and tactics.
  • Sets goals and establish measures to receive best in class service awards.
  • VPA price management along with inventory profile and performance analysis.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in related discipline; engineering/technical background preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent experience in distribution account management with background in electronic components.
  • Detail orientated self-starter who is service minded.
  • Strategic planning, goal setting, time management and problem solving.
  • Effective communicator at all levels. Strong presentation and public speaking experience desired.
  • Knowledge of market to understand emerging customers, trends and competitive landscape.
