Our Client - a Global industry leader in the manufacturing of Passive Electronic Components, Electromechanical Devices, and Electromagnetic for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products is currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer

POSITION BASIC PURPOSE

This individual will manage our regional Tier 1 Automotive accounts from program design and development, Design Validation (DV), Product Validation (PV) through to production.The objective is to design our components into these accounts and communicate progress and requirements with our factory, marketing, and associated sales teams.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Account management (Contracts, Quality, Sr. Management, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationship with account program managers, design engineers, component engineers, purchasing, management, etc.
  • Secure print position and support DVs and PVs and follow through to production
  • Document programs in salesforce
  • Understand applications and trends in global automotive market
  • Answer technical questions
  • Resolve technical objections
  • Technical liaison between sales & factory
  • Deep product knowledge
  • Provide technical training to customers on new products and technology.
  • Systematically funnel customer data to the business group development teams and marketing organizations for inclusion in product roadmaps
  • Provide feedback to Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering about the competitive environment, market acceptance of devices, and identification of opportunities and features for new products/product areas
  • Participate in industry groups critical to our core business


POSITION REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES):
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years in automotive industry experience
  • Working knowledge of automotive product development process from design to production
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical and system troubleshooting skills
  • Achievement driven; enjoys competitiveness and thrives on being the best and winning
  • Ability to present and moderate highly technical materials to diverse audiences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel / Power BI proficiently
  • Requires 30% travel
  • Call reports, design wins, - Salesforce
  • Increasing market share
