We are currently seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join a prominent intellectual property law firm. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to attorneys in various litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the litigation process within a renowned firm and gain valuable experience in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize correspondence and pleadings, ensuring proper indexing and documentation.

  • Utilize litigation software, such as document management systems, to assist with case management.

  • Support document productions, including coordinating attorney reviews, eDiscovery efforts, and Litigation Support activities.

  • Manage deposition files and create indices for deposition exhibits.

  • Assist in preparing documents for witness depositions.

  • Aid in court filing processes.

  • Track and manage litigation due dates through docketing.

  • Willingness to work overtime or travel as required.

  • Participate in supervising and training litigation clerks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in litigation required; Paralegal certificate preferred.

  • Two to four years of litigation experience, preferably in Intellectual Property (IP) law.

  • Familiarity with litigation software, such as Relativity and Sharepoint, is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including collaboration platforms like Teams and Zoom, and ability to learn new software and databases.

  • Strong understanding of case/matter management systems and proficiency in database tools used for data and information management.

  • Excellent research skills, including proficiency in using various research tools, court websites, and internet resources.

  • Strong customer service skills, both written and verbal, with effective communication abilities.
