Location: Hybrid (Remote with 3 days in the office) – Washington, DC
What You’ll Do:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) applications.
- Manage out-of-the-box functionality and perform necessary enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance to keep the platform running smoothly.
- Develop and implement fixes for bugs, issues, and enhancements for ITSM and SPM in the ServiceNow production environment.
- Design and modify forms, fields, and workflows based on business requirements to streamline processes.
- Oversee change control and coordinate the release management process for ServiceNow.
- Build dashboards and reports for IT management and firm leadership to provide insights into platform usage and performance.
- Manage and report on data within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of all imports and exports.
- Administer user onboarding/offboarding, access management, and platform security, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Leverage ServiceNow scripting modules (Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules) to customize forms, fields, and workflows to enhance platform functionality.
- Serve as the technical expert for ServiceNow design and support, providing guidance and troubleshooting when needed.
- Ensure that all ServiceNow applications and services meet service level agreements, are reliable, and accessible.
- Implement platform enhancements to improve functionality and optimize the end-user experience.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles to support end-users and enhance documentation.
- Resolve incidents and service requests quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
You Need to Have:
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) principles.
- Proficiency with ServiceNow scripting modules such as Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Business Rules.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell; web services (REST, SOAP); and data formats like XML and JSON.
- Experience with SQL databases and ability to generate reports, statistics, and KPIs.
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks (Change, Incident, Problem Management) and experience with asset management and ticketing systems.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow components such as Automated Discovery Tool, Service Catalog, Discovery, and Knowledge Management.
- ITIL v3 Foundations certification (minimum) or equivalent knowledge of ITSM/ITIL frameworks.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required; ServiceNow Certified System Implementation Specialist is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing, administering, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Ability to travel up to 25% to meet the organization’s needs or participate in team meetings and on-site projects.
