Senior Accountant – Construction & Real Estate
Location: Tysons, VA (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and variance reports
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to track project-level costs and payments
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries
Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights and variance analysis
Develop financial reports for joint ventures and subsidiaries, including calculating distributions
Recommend and implement process improvements, leveraging tools like SAP and Excel
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred)
2+ years of accounting experience; public accounting or industry experience in construction or real estate strongly preferred
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP systems highly desirable
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial reporting
Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
