Attorney Resources Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR support related to staff at the organization's DC location, while promoting and enhancing employee engagement among staff in this office.
  • Offer comprehensive support on immigration-related matters for personnel based in both the NY and DC locations.
  • Provide assistance in various HR processes concerning staff, such as onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, talent development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to internal HR guidelines and regulations; update and manage relevant HR documentation.
  • Investigate workplace issues and provide recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Offer guidance on performance management and serve as a liaison for staff support.
  • Oversee administrative HR tasks (e.g., hiring, separations, compensation changes, and promotions) related to personnel.
  • Support the rollout of new technology solutions and process optimizations.
  • Manage immigration documentation (including Form I-9, visa processing, and work/travel authorization).
  • Coordinate professional certification processes and manage reimbursements for lateral hires.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze patterns, and compile reports on employment data.
  • Handle employment verifications and update personnel records.
  • Assist with budgeting for the DC HR department.
  • Organize staff activities and lead various HR-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, 3-6 years of experience in a legal or HR-related role
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and internet research skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • JD or an advanced degree in a relevant field (HR, business, organizational development) preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM certification
  • Experience in a professional services or legal environment highly desirable
