Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + Bonus

Our client, a fast-growing full-service commercial bank, lender and asset manager, is hiring for a Workday Financial Systems Administrator to their team. This is a newly created role due to growth, will be partnering with the Controller and Director of IT Operations, and will be responsible for assisting their Workday Consultants through the implementation, Workday reporting, and maintenance of Workday Financial Management (FM) as they pivot away from NetSuite.

This person will be a Workday SME with a high-level of visibility across the organization, partnering with Accounting, Finance, FP&A, IT, and Operations as they continue to build out their systems to match their growth as they continue to scale.

Position Responsibilities Overview:

  • Manage the administration, reporting , and maintenance of the Workday Financial Management (FM) platform including: General Ledger, Financial Reporting, AP, etc.
  • Maintain optimal functionality of the Workday financials system, including installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades
  • Process management, including documentation, performing and overseeing audits, and continuous improvements.
  • Responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of areas including Revenue, Business process creation, and quality assurance processes for system updates, enhancements, etc.
  • Build and maintain functional configuration including custom validations, condition rules, calculated fields
  • Develop and maintain financial and management reports and dashboarding within Workday
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations
  • Lead the development of training material and plans to help end-users understand Workday Financial functionality, gather feedback from users, build out workflows and customizations to meet business needs
  • Research and maintain updated knowledge of new Workday Features and Releases, advising senior leadership on best use cases and implementation strategies
  • Act as POC for both internal and external audits for anything workday system-related

 

Targeting Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Systems Analysis/Administration, Systems Consulting experience, or similar role; with strong understanding of Workday Financial Management modules required
  • Industry experience within financial services, banking, or commercial lending preferred
  • Proficiency in Workday Financials module and business process configurations
  • Experience analyzing cross-functional impacts to system conversions and integrations
  • Software experience in JIRA and Confluence a plus preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
