A busy and professional office in Herndon, VA is seeking a Sr. Administrative Assistant for a 6-month temporary assignment with the potential to convert to a full-time role. This position supports senior leadership and internal teams by managing high-level administrative tasks, coordinating proposals and documentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and manage cost proposals, change orders, submittals, and related documents.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets for senior leaders.

  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and manage logistics for internal and external events.

  • Maintain file systems, handle data entry, and assist with document coding and tracking.

  • Submit applications and supporting materials to external agencies as needed.

  • Act as liaison between departments, clients, and third-party stakeholders.

  • Support special projects and suggest process improvements for office operations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of administrative support experience, including support for senior-level staff.

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Experience with proposals and basic accounting practices is a plus.

  • Duration: 6-month temporary assignment, with potential for full-time hire

  • Location: Herndon, VA (100% on-site)

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
