Exciting Opportunity: Conference Technology Team Lead

We are seeking a Conference Technology Team Lead to manage the technical and operational support for all audio-visual equipment and services in the Washington DC office. If you are a problem solver with expertise in AV technologies and event coordination, this is your chance to lead a dynamic team!

Location: 5 days a week on-site in Washington, DC

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Conference Technology team in delivering top-tier AV services and daily operations for conferences.
  • Work alongside IT management to create and implement policies and procedures for AV support.
  • Track and document conference technical issues in real-time to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Quickly identify and resolve customer dissatisfaction related to conference technology.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose audio/visual equipment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to events.
  • Keep attorneys and staff informed of any disruptions to AV services.
  • Maintain AV equipment inventories, manage e-recycling, and oversee equipment updates.
  • Monitor and manage videoconference endpoints firmwide using Pexip Control Center.
  • Provide monthly metrics and maintain logs for VTC usage and technology setups.
  • Create and update instructional documentation and standard operating procedures for AV equipment.
  • Develop and enforce guidelines for supporting meetings and events, ensuring ease of use for all participants.
  • Handle routine inventory management, asset assessments, and support ticket workflows.
  • Continuously improve technical skills through training and self-learning.

You Need to Have:

  • Advanced hands-on experience with video conferencing technologies (e.g., Poly, Extron, Crestron, Pexip AV bridging services, Video/Voice over IP).
  • Strong knowledge of configuring and managing collaborative video conferencing tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom).
  • Experience managing AV needs for large in-person events.
  • Advanced skills in AV recording technologies, file formats, editing, compression, and content streaming.
  • Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve AV issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with attorneys, staff, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on process improvement and delivering excellent client service.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with wireless access points, VLANs, and basic network device configuration.
  • Knowledge of sound reinforcement for AV conferencing, including echo cancellation and gain control.
  • Ability to safely lift and move AV equipment up to 50 lbs.

Education:

  • High School Diploma and two (2) years of technical school or college. Equivalent experience or training may substitute for education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with personal computers, laptops, and audio/visual equipment in a networked environment.
