We are looking for a dynamic and talented mining/civil professional to fill a Field Engineer role at our fast-growing, forward thinking mining services company.

Turner Mining Group is seeking an energetic mining professional who can leverage their mining knowledge to expand upon our fast-growing business, creating best practices for project management and scalable business processes to ensure profitable operations. This person will function as a Field Engineer, overseeing project operations, work directly with the Operations Director, and coordinating with back-office teams.

Leadership and an ability to problem solve while ensuring mining operations remain on budget and ahead of schedule. This is an opportunity to work as part of the executive leadership team in a fast-paced and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project controls, tracking progress & quantities
• Cost control & reporting, scheduling, owner billing, change orders, subcontractor & supplier management
• Working directly with field foreman’s and superintendents 
• Conducting routine safety meetings
• Daily site inspections, following and complying with all MSHA regulations
• Implementation of company guidelines and safety policy as well as meeting with clients to address project needs and changes
• Working with the estimating team in preparation of bids, takeoff’s, resources evaluations, and scheduling.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a diverse background & 2 plus years in the mining and/or civil industry. Must have exposure in civil projects, site work, earthwork, & underground pipe. A degree in engineering is preferred. The position requires ability to travel and relocate as necessary. Knowledge of computers & software is essential.
