Part-time Sourcer (Technical)

We seek an experienced Contract Technical Sourcer (remote) for a 3-month, part-time contract to support our team in the Boston, MA area. We need someone who has successfully sourced hard to fill engineering and technical professionals for early-stage, venture-funded companies (Seed, Series-A, Series-B stage). This role is responsible for candidate pipeline creation and candidate qualification screening. Primarily responsible for sourcing and prescreening candidates to be interviewed and considered for positions that require a high level of technical knowledge. The person in this role is expected is working independently with the assistance of an experienced Lead Recruiter and is expected to be an “outside of the box” sourcer who can deliver candidates the recruiter has not identified.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent; minimum 5 years of closely related experience. Sound understanding of engineering/technical area of expertise.

  • Dedicated sourcing efforts for multiple clients, in multiple industries, looking for multiple skillsets.

  • Generate candidates through various sourcing methods, including but not limited to the company database, social media platforms, boolean web search, etc.

  • Source both active and passive candidates for live openings as well as to maintain a proactive and steady pipeline of talent for future positions.

  • Document all touchpoints and relevant updates to candidate status for submittal/handoff to Lead Recruiter.

  • Identification of candidates specific to skill sets / markets / geographical location.

Preferred Skills:

  • Technically savvy

  • Phone comfort including “cold calling” into companies to find talent

  • Solid understanding of Boolean search principles and processes

Functional Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, highly independent team

  • Organized with meticulous attention to detail

  • Proactive, self-driven, and motivated

  • Ability to shift priorities with little notice

  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written

  • Ability to manage multiple searches in unison

Technical Requirements:

  • Successful candidates are savvy enough to grasp the job description and conduct research as to where to “hunt” for candidates.

  • Strong familiarity with specific, technology-focused job boards, sites, and tools.

  • Previous experience working within an Applicant Tracking System, Crelate preferred.

  • Proficiency in Google-based tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets)

  • Social media savvy (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
