Our client is a Boston-based, venture-backed, cloud search, and analytics company helping software-driven businesses to store, search, and query a never-ending stream of machine data. This is done using patented technology which transforms the customer’s own cheap and secure Amazon S3 object storage into a database with infinite scale and universal access.

They are looking for a skilled technical Solutions Architect to be part of a team responsible for technical deployments of their SaaS solution and associated proofs-of-concept during the demo stage of their sales process.

This person must be a self-starter and used to a fast-paced, fun, energetic environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity while solving unique technology problems enabling our customers' to find success in the platform.

This person should have a broad range of skills and experience ranging from data architecture to search, security, performance analysis, and analytics. You will gain insight into a customer’s problem(s) and communicate what you've learned and potential solutions, to a wide variety of audiences. You must also have the technical skills needed to execute demos and build proofs-of-concept while providing a consultative approach to architecture and implementation.

As a Solutions Architect you will:

• Be a technical expert on all aspects of their product
• Deploy the product following best practices.
• Ensure knowledge transfer so that customers are properly enabled to extend the capabilities of the product on their own.
  
• Maintain an understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
• Provide guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve the product and its competitive positioning.

Our ideal Solution Architect will have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role.
• Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
• Understanding of search, data processing, databases, and data analytics.
• Track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers.
• Experience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Amazon Athena)
• Software development experience using: C/C++, Java, Python

Bonus Points for Having

• Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g. Hadoop, HBase)
• Familiarity with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Kibana, Looker, Tableau)
• Understanding of large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Experience implementing ETL pipelines
