We at Esther & Mila are launching a new retail store, springboarding from an already established, successful, eCommerce operation. This is an exciting time of store set up and launch, as well as building and managing a cohesive, high-performing team of retail associates. Product lines include gemstone jewelry, skincare, body care, and fine crystals.

In this role as Retail Manager, you will oversee and be responsible for the store’s sales efforts, and supervise the store’s overall operation to ensure efficiency and profitability. You will enforce, convey, and uphold policies, goals, and standards to the store’s sales team, and will represent the company in appearance, attitude, and professionalism portrayed to employees, customers, and the community. You will become knowledgeable in each product area and will share your passion about the products, while always providing outstanding customer service.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving company objectives in profit and loss control, sales performance, and customer satisfaction. Store Managers are also responsible for leading customer interaction and associate talent development on a daily basis within their store.


  • Manage and control the assets by managing this store.

  • Stay up to date with training and education on skincare and spa lines while proactively promoting products to clients.

  • Direct and oversees entire sales efforts in the store.

  • Constantly and consistently be acquainted with all aspects of the store including sales statistics, inventory and expenses that together produce profit.

  • Consult and collaborate with owner and corporate HR as needed in establishing and enforcing policies, goals, and procedures.

  • Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards in each department are completed.

  • Be part of the process to hire, mentor and cultivate a team, including an assistant manager and sales associates.

  • Carry out personnel recruiting, hiring, training, discipline, and evaluation.

  • Maintain proper security for the store.

  • Communicate with the owner regarding inventory movement.

  • Provide information and consistently and vigorously follow through on all marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends.

  • Keep abreast of competition and new ideas and keep informed on community related events, to take advantage of potential opportunities.

  • Produce and give extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, including helping customers as they enter the store, and helping multiple customers during peak periods.

  • Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.


  • 10 years experience running and managing a retail store

  • Impeccable customer service skills

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Strong sales abilities

  • Proactive in-store planning and organization skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to use basic business software programs and systems

  • Merchandising and marketing skills

  • Preferred experience in jewelry, crystals, or natural skincare
