ENTERPRISE SALES DIRECTOR - remote

The warehouse of the future is equipped with our client's cold storage capable product range of autonomous mobile robots instead of forklifts, pallet shuttles, and tote shuttles that allow for high-density storage (no wasted space!) and are totally scalable.

Our client is the robotics subsidiary of a larger automated storage and retrieval system company,
and over the span of more than 40 years, we’ve grown into a company with 10 manufacturing facilities, 19 commercial offices, and the know-how of around 2000 employees serving customers in 40 countries.

Early 2021, we opened our US Office and started with 4 people. Since then, we have grown to 45 people. These are exciting times to join our client

The ENTERPRISE SALES DIRECTOR is an Individual contributor role with the sole focus of
creating and closing sales opportunities for all product solutions. This position reports to the President of the US division and has the opportunity to grow into a sales leadership role in the next 6-18 months.

Solutions: Fully automated storage solutions including pallet shuttles, tote shuttles, as well as automated mobile robots and ancillary systems such as conveyors and lifts.

Customers: End users are located throughout the United States and Canada. We work with many of the leading integrators as our Sales partners.

Typical project size: $1-$30M

As our ENTERPRISE SALES DIRECTOR, you…

  • are responsible for the complete chain of sales activities (incl. proposals, calculations, and offers - with the help of our engineering team)
  • initiate sales opportunities with warehouse automation integrators on behalf of end customers
  • find new integrators to partner with
  • participate in trade shows (Modex/Promat, and industry-specific ones)
  • lead and coordinate focused marketing efforts such as writing blog posts and speaking opportunities at trade shows
  • provide monthly and yearly forecasts and reports
  • support on the sidelines of sold projects; e.g., change orders

 This lets us know you’re up for the job

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in the material handling industry, ideally for a manufacturer selling to integrators or selling as the integrator to the end customer
  • hunter and farmer mindset. We are looking for 50% hunter to find new business – and 50% farmer to nurture relationships during the 9-18 month sales cycle.
  • willing to travel 30-40% throughout the US and Canada; plus occasionally to training events or reference site visits in Europe
  • we work closely with our European colleagues. The morning hours are the most important so we can connect with them while our business hours overlap across time zones. If you love starting your workday mid-morning or later, you would hate it here. Most people start their workday at 8 am CST and some love to start even earlier so they can wrap up earlier at the end of the day.
