The Sizzle:
- Role is hybrid – majority remote work, but candidate must be local
- Will Transfer H1B visa with 3+ years left and sponsor Green Card after 2 busy seasons
- Will pay for relocation
- Must have external audit experience
- Seniors:
- Non-Profit experience is a plus
- Experience working with several smaller engagements at once is a plus
- Must have CPA or a plan to get it
- Some level of tenure in at least one public accounting firm is a deal breaker!
- Qualified candidates normally have 3-7 years’ experience specifically in external audit (auditing financial statements of outside companies)
- Managers:
- CPA (absolute requirement)
- Non-Profit Experience a plus
- Absolute Requirement: Tenure in at least one public accounting firm as an [External Auditor], auditing financial statements
- Qualified candidates normally have 5-12 years’ experience specifically in external audit (auditing financial statements)
Minimum Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
- Two or more years public accounting experience as an audit professional
- CPA or demonstrated progress toward obtaining CPA certification with a minimum of two exam sections passed
- One or more years "in-charging" audit engagements
- Understanding of audit services with knowledge of FASB and GAAS
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Preparing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness, and accuracy
- Developing an understanding of client's business, and becoming a "functional expert" in the area
- Keeping lines of communication open with staff and clients
- Supervising engagement team as needed
- Monitoring and reporting regarding the productivity of staff, and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
- Staying abreast of latest developments and ensuring professional development through ongoing education
- Anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating problems as they arise
- Recognizing and informing senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients
