Senior Consultant and Director

Boutique Advisory Firm —Chicago, IL, or NYC —$120K for Senior, $200K for Director, plus 20-30% bonus

 

The Sizzle

• Will consider 100% remote candidates, main office is located in Chicago, there is a small rental space in NYC – travel is Tues-Thurs, 60-70%
• 20 people total in the firm
• Will look at auditors
• Senior: targeting 3-5 years of experience, external accounting/audit, consulting, corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus, corporate restructuring, or investment banking
• Director: targeting 7-10 years of experience, with a turnaround firm, corporate restructuring, investment banking, operations with P&L responsibilities or FP&A, TAS experience will also be considered
• 3-4 weeks PTO, great benefits

 

Minimum Education & Experience

• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Operations Management or Management Information Systems (MIS) from a top academic institution and a strong GPA required.

   

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of work experience for Senior, 7-10 years for Director, in external accounting/audit, consulting, corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus, corporate restructuring or investment banking.

     

  • Ability to apply business, accounting, finance and analytical acumen to various client situations and practice disciplines including, but not limited to:
    • Analysis of financial statements, management budgets and business plans
    • Analysis and forecasting of near-term liquidity including the development of 13-week cash forecasts
    • Preparation of financial models based on key operational performance drivers of the business with flexibility to contemplate a variety of financing or M&A scenarios
    • Management and organization of large sets of raw or incomplete data and translation of the data into meaningful analysis

       

  • Ability to assume full responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables.

     

  • Advanced written communication skills, with the ability to prepare well laid out, easily understood analysis and presentations.

     

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

     

• Willingness to travel up to 60%-70%.
