$150+M Manufacturing Company —Dayton, OH— $90-120K with annual discretionary bonus (up to 12%)

  • Role is 100% in office
  • Targeting 3-5+ years of experience, manufacturing experience is required, no knockout industries although manufacturing is most important
  • Roles report to the CFO, 14 people on the team total
  • One role is focused on aerospace with low volume SKU’s, the other is focused on high volume SKU’s, customers, data, etc.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of FP&A business experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to work with a large number of company part SKU’s.
  • Must possess professional maturity and be confident in their work results, while at the same time being humble in personal character.
  • Must possess Integrity and honesty, as well as a strong work ethic.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be actively involved in sales forecast preparation and provide monthly forecast vs. actual sales variance analysis to the CFO.
  • Work with Sales personnel to establish a realistic pricing model to forecast and measure the effectiveness of customer pricing fluctuations.
  • Assist with Sales quoting process, as required
  • Prepare and present justification analysis for Capex projects to both divisional management as well as our private equity partners. In addition, prepare post-mortem analysis on matured Capex projects, to validate justification assumptions and ensure financial commitments have been met.
  • Participate in Divisional strategic planning and Budget activities
  • Assist with any due diligence related to acquisition targets of the Division
  • Assist Corporate team with monthly closing process including creation and posting of basic Journal Entries, valuing inventory at the lower of Cost or Fair Market Value, reconciling general ledger accounts, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance with internal controls at each plant as they relate to pricing and profitability.
  • Assist in the preparation of information and materials for our annual financial audit.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to satisfy company deadlines.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations and classifications surrounding the accounting function.
