Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

$230M Life Insurance Company —Austin, TX—Up to $85K, plus discretionary bonus

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of financial reporting in the financial services industry.
• Experience with Cloud based of Financial Platforms and process improvements.
• Strong Excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Prefer Insurance or Banking industry experience
• CPA a plus

Duties & Responsibilities

 

• Assist in the preparation of GAAP/Statutory financial statements.
• Assist in year-end tax reporting.
• Prepare quarterly Board reports.
• Effectively manage responsibilities to achieve timely and thorough completion.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to automate and streamline workflow, increase efficiency strengthen controls.
• Performs other job-related duties and projects as needed.
