Our firm is privileged to partner with this Amazing client & opportunity to scale up, built out their Accounting & Finance department [Finance Center of Excellence - COE] in Southern California. Will initially be remote with a return to office plan.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing!
As a passionate, hands-on Revenue Accounting Manager will be a key member of the accounting and finance team reporting to the Senior Controller. You will ensure the timely and accurate month-end closure of our revenue subledger and associated reporting. You will act as a subject matter expert in Revenue accounting practices and processes, and provide business partners with clear and consistent guidance and education. You will lead the team to improve or simplify current processes and improve the control environment. You will manage and execute the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial data in compliance with GAAP and Company policies. You will recommend solutions, maintain consistency and leadership when issues arise during close. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities. Provides oversight to ensure systems, processes and internal controls are consistently applied. Communicates complex financial information and concepts to both finance and business leaders to influence decision making. You will complete appropriate financial footnote disclosures for financial reporting and assessing the impact of new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements.
You will analyze key financial metrics to improve the business, then communicate the data and your conclusions clearly to business owners. Most importantly, you will lead the revenue accounting team, responsible for not only their daily duties but also for their growth and development as professionals.
Your Celebrated Qualifications:
You will have 6+ years of expertise in your area, an active CPA license and deep technical accounting abilities in revenue accounting (ASC 606).
You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
You are a confirmed specialist working and coordinating across multiple teams.
You are an empathetic communicator and leader who connects easily with people of all different backgrounds, skills, roles, and perspectives.
You have a demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and mentoring a team of junior team members
You have strong problem solving and analytical skills

You have prior accounting experience with a a manufacturing company or both
You have public accounting experience
You have ERP (preferably NetSuite) experience
