The Position: We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Commissioning Manager to join our team. The primary objective of the role is to assist the Lead Commissioning Manager with their responsibilities with

  • Management of the Project Commissioning Team and associated resource.
  • Controlling the ’Safety from the System ‘and ‘Electrical Safety Rules’ procedures in respect to all electrical activities associated with the project.
  • Managing the operation of all high-voltage systems, including the interfaces between each package.
  • Ensuring coordination between onshore and offshore activities, including liaison between the Project, worksite and grid operator with respect to safety, testing, commissioning and energization/operations.
  • Oversee all electrical activities for the purpose of safety, technical review, contractual compliance and operation/logistical duties.

Requirements: The right candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum of 5 years’ experience within the offshore renewable sector, and within the electrical transmission and distribution industry. Highly organized with excellent communication skills and an analytical mind along with high level of professionalism, trustworthiness, sound judgment, and a collaborative spirit.

The Location: Vineyard Wind is based in New Bedford, MA, with offices in Boston, MA.
