The Position: We’re looking for an experienced WTG Technical Lead to join our team. The WTG Technical Lead heads up a team of engineers and project managers responsible for the implementation of the Vineyard project Turbine Supply Agreement (TSA); supporting decision making on all activities from turbine design changes, manufacturing through assembly and offshore installation works until final hand over to operations team. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage technical aspects/requirements in the Turbine Supply Agreement, and technical interfaces with the supplier.
  • Lead a team of a Technical and Electrical Engineer
  • Lead/support interface design processes between the WTG package and other packages, e.g. tower/foundation, installation etc.
  • Represent the Project in front of the WTG supplier in technical forums.
  • Ensure the qualification and acceptance of design modifications in relation design.

Requirements: The right candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least three years’ wind industry experience (WTG´s, offshore wind preferable), and be highly organized with excellent communication skills, an analytical mind along with high level of professionalism, trustworthiness, sound judgment, and a collaborative spirit.

The Location: Vineyard Wind is based in New Bedford, MA, with offices in Boston, MA.
