The Position: We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our team.This position will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with project staff to develop a detailed media strategy geared to increase public awareness of the project, disseminate project details and updates to a wide audience that includes stakeholders and policymakers.


  • Co-ordinate and implement the overall social media strategy, creating a significant presence on multiple media platforms.


  • Interface with media relations and strategic communications consultants to ensure the strategic media plan is implemented and adjusted as appropriate, based on market conditions, public relations needs and project milestones.


  • Take on a leadership role in creating and collaborating on media content, including press releases and new media, seeking out new and innovative ways for Vineyard Wind to connect with the public, including managing and creating content for various social media accounts

Requirements: The right candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience with proven success in high-level media and communications work, with an emphasis on new media and/or relations with outlets in the Boston or South Coast/Cape Cod &Islands market, or renewable energy industry.

The Location: This position will be based in our offices in New Bedford, MA.
