Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

This position would require traveling to customer sites for installation or service.

 

The qualified candidate will have an organized approach to problem solving and root cause analysis, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and an aptitude for computer software.

Specific Position Requirements:

• Hardware and software design – AB PLC5, SLC’s, Control Logix, VFD’s, Combustion Systems
• HMI experience including Panelview, RSView
• Proficient with AutoCAD – riser diagrams, panel layout PLC I/O
• Working knowledge of Electrical Codes & Safety Standards – NEC, NFPA
• Familiarity with automotive facility electrical standards

The skill sets we are seeking for this position include the following:

• Candidates should have 5+ years of experience
• Ability to design, debug and deploy Rockwell PLC and HMI programming for a variety of systems
• Specific experience: Facility/process experience including, but not limited to, air make-up units, spraybooth / ovens, VOC abatement system (concentrators, oxidizers), pre-treatment systems and support systems for these systems
• Turn-key system integration experience – control system design, installation coordination, start-up, debug, and training
• Ability to integrate with project management and project teams
• Ability to lead control engineering team, when required
• Proficiency in both written and verbal communications
• Experience in programming in other PLC families such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, and others a plus
• General proficiency in PC networking and interfacing
