The Director of Corporate Communications & Public Relations is responsible for planning and directing enterprise-wide communications strategies and their tactical execution. This includes all external communications - encompassing local and national media relations, marketing communications, public affairs/government relations, and community relations / corporate contributions.
This position manages these initiatives to enhance the company’s reputation and brand positioning by maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders (associates, customers, suppliers, news media, and community leaders) by responding to their needs and interests while building an effective shared understanding of strategies, key initiatives, vision, mission, values and investment case.
The Director/Communications & Public Relations supports the Sales & Marketing organization’s key initiatives, including new industry and market launches, marketing initiatives and programs, etc. through brand management and integrated marketing communications programs.
In addition, the Director will establish and maintain ongoing contact between the company and the local and state government media and associations in the regions in which the company operates, as well as manage the communication of the company’s community relations programs in conjunction with the Community Relations Director.

Demonstrated track record of conducting successful, proactive communications programs that employ creativity and use of a variety of tools, forums, and media; understanding of current communications mechanisms, including social media.
Proven experience and capability for crisis management and mergers & acquisitions support.
Ability to work in close collaboration with all levels of associates, senior management, and outside agencies and service providers.
Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional teams.

Undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, public relations or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a corporate, consultancy, policy or government communications capacity is required. The incumbent’s experience should include managing communications on a regional or global basis for a diverse range of audiences, from business leadership and salaried staff members to customers, suppliers, community leaders, government officials plant-floor associates.
