Position Summary

The Site Safety Supervisor, position will coordinate and execute safety, health, and environmental programs. Ensures compliance with regulations and Company policies, routinely interacting with employees on the production floor on a routine basis. Handles challenging, complex assignments involving the performance of daily audits/inspections.

Pay rate: $15-$21/hour

Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 2nd Shift Monday-Saturday

Responsibilities

  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Under the direction of the Site Safety Supervisor, fosters/develops a culture where safety, health, and environment are ingrained as a core value with all employees, everyone believes zero is achievable, everyone is actively engaged in safely performing their work, and everyone actively interacts with co-workers to prevent at-risk behaviors.
  • Effectively coaches and develops operations line supervision to be effective leaders/coaches in their respective positions.
  • Analyze safety conditions and behaviors and continuously recommends changes to improve performance to world-class levels.
  • Primarily responsible for implementing systems, procedures, and work practices to ensure an “audit ready” state of compliance.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory agency policies, including federal, state, and local legislation and regulations on safety.
  • Reviews, analyzes, critiques, and approves engineering design development reports, plans, and specifications for compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Drives implementation of safety best-in-class programs, systems, and processes, including training and coaching to establish clear procedures on safety measures and precautions.
  • Manages Worker’s Compensation in partnership with Risk Management
    Risk Assessment and Elimination
  • Understand the safety risks associated with the job, Sitewide.
  • Understand the aspects of the Site that impact the environment and optimize them.
  • Ensures thorough investigation of all incidents in coordination with Safety and Health Site leadership.
  • Provide expertise and participate in all safety incident investigations as conducted by Site Leadership Coordinate/facilitate all environmental training for the Site.
  • Administer training programs for safety accident prevention and protection and may support environmental management systems
  • Drive excellence through active participation on the production floor to adopt a - ZERO TOLERANCE MENTALITY-
