Knife Helper

Workforce - Richmond, VA

Job Purpose: To assist the machine operators in moving sheets of paper that meet company quality standards.

Schedule: Rotating 12hr shifts 7 am-7 pm
Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Essential Functions:

Repetitive heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more.
Fast-paced work environment.
Check work of previous shift for quality & correctness and notify supervisor of any issues.
Check and maintain the quality and correct size of paper sheets throughout each job by following company quality control procedures.
Change/setup sheeter paper sizes and paper types between each job with minimal downtime.
Keep sheeter and area around machine neat & clean.
Fill out production paperwork as required.
Communicate with outgoing shift and incoming shift regarding equipment status, job status, and any other relevant information.
Duties include standing for most of the shift, pushing and pulling loaded pallet jacks, moving large rolls of paper, and possibly working overtime.
Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Execute the responsibilities of this position following company safety policies and company procedures.
