Construction Estimator Electrical - $50 - $56 an hour

A 25-year old local construction company recognized as a leader in civil & public works construction is in need of an experienced Electrical Estimator / Construction Project Manager.

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for estimating large public works construction projects utilizing a variety of tools and software. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, attention to detail, and relationship building skills.

Benefits of the Electrical Estimator / Construction Project Manager position include:

  • Starting Salary: $50.00 - $56.00 an hour DOE. The position can be hourly or salary

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • This is a “direct-hire” opportunity and not a “temp” or “contract” position.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Estimator / Construction Project Manager position include:

  • Manage the bid proposal process to determine scope of work for various projects including required labor costs per man hour, materials price list, and equipment needed to complete the project.

  • Review design options and provide solutions based on cost, engineering and materials

  • Support all areas of the business related to estimates and job-costing

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors

Qualifications for the Electrical Estimator / Construction Project Manager position include:

  • A minimum of 4 - 6 years experience in electrical estimating, construction project manager and experience related to large public works electrical construction projects is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is highly preferred.

  • Must maintain either a Utah Journeyman or Masters electrician license with no disciplinary actions.

  • Proficient knowledge in the following electrical areas: ATMS, Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, and General Electrical.

  • Previous experience with public works, commercial and/or industrial light retrofit, excavations/trenching, and boring & drilling utility conduits and installation of electrical conduits & wire is required.

  • Must be familiar with the electrical requirements of Utah Department of Transportation, Rocky Mountain Power, and most Utah Cities and Municipalities.

  • A valid Utah driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
