Immediate need for an experienced Manual Machinist to run the manual lathes. The ideal Manual Machinist candidate will be experienced setting-up & running manual lathes and mills. CNC lathe or mill set-up experience is helpful along with a solid machine shop background. This is a permanent, “direct-hire”, & full-time opportunity.

Starting Wage: $26.00 - $32.00 an hour DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
This is a “direct-hire” opportunity and not a “temp” or “contract-to-hire” position.

Responsibilities for the Machinist / Manual Lathe Machinist position include:
Set-up & run manual lathes and mills along with other shop equipment to repair parts. You are not manufacturing parts. Each part may be different.
Perform finishing operations when required, such as deburring, tapping, honing, boring and bench work.
Follow blueprints, drawings, written and verbal work instructions to produce parts.
Use approved manual measuring devices & tools to inspect parts to determine required material removal.
Qualifications for the Machinist / Manual Lathe Machinist position include:
A minimum of 4 - 6 years Manual Machinist experience with set up and running lathes is required. Manual Mill, Horizontal Lathe, VTL, threading, and boring is helpful.
CNC Lathe & Mill set-up & run experience is helpful but not required.
Must be proficient with manual lathe machine set-up, experience with tooling, fixtures with the ability to follow instructions per blueprints, technical drawings or work instructions is critical.
High school diploma or equivalent, machinist trade school, or equivalent work experience is required.
Prefer candidates to own their own tools, manual measuring devices, have overhead crane and/or forklift experience.
Steel toed boots are required.
