A well-established excavation, grading, and paving company is looking for a qualified Construction Equipment Mechanic who can independently perform repair work in the field on heavy construction, grading and paving equipment.

Starting Wage: $42.00 - $50.00 an hour DOE with OT 50 hour typical work week.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:30pm.

This is a "direct-hire" position, not a “temp” or “contract-to-hire” opportunity
Responsibilities for the Construction Equipment Mechanic / Field Diesel Mechanic position include but are not limited to:
Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment. Everything from loaders, excavators, construction equipment, and paving equipment.
Field service work is required using a company truck.
Welding or fabrication of parts/pieces when needed.
Follow established procedures to track work and parts
Ensure timely completion of repair work according to company regulations and procedures
Quote customer repair jobs properly and complete within the time quoted
Qualifications for the Construction Equipment Mechanic / Field Diesel Mechanic position include but are not limited to:
Prefer a minimum of 6-10 years' experience in heavy duty equipment, diesel, construction equipment, rental equipment and/or paving equipment repair. Previous field mechanic experience is required.
Line Boring experience is preferred.
Strong mechanical background including excellent diagnostic and repair skills in diesel mechanics, hydraulic/hydrostatic, and electrical systems required.
Prior field service work experience is required.
Must own your own tools based on your experience.
Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working side by side with customers.
Show willingness to perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. A Class A or B CDL is preferred.
