Rubber Liner Technician

The Rubber Liner Technician is responsible for the proper application of rubber lining and protective coatings. These rubber linings are a premium form of corrosion protection for some of the most severe chemical and abrasive environments.

Responsibilities of the Rubber Liner Technician:

  • Lines interior of tanks, valves, pipes, and similar articles with rubber sheeting to prevent corrosion of vessel, and to minimize contamination, shock, ignition, or explosion hazards to contents.
  • May inject compressed air into to lining to vessel and introduce live steam or place article in to vulcanize rubber lining.
  • Prepare parts and equipment by sandblasting, scraping, using a gun, or painting surfaces for application of lining.
  • Operate a diverse array of equipment and machinery. In the beginning, you’ll drive lift trucks, use grinders & chip guns, and then eventually may an autoclave, compressors, generators, high-heat mold presses, hydro-blast equipment, lathes, polyurea equipment, overhead cranes, and spark-testing equipment.
  • May visit equipment sites to install linings.

Requirements for the Rubber Liner Technician:

  • A valid Utah driver’s license and an acceptable driving report.
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Must be okay with confined spaces.
  • Must be okay with traveling April – October. Company car provided.
  • Be able to lift approximately 75 pounds.
  • Manage own time and the time of others.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (random drug tests are also conducted).

Compensation: $15hr DOE.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

*$18hr when you travel for a project.
