Currently seeking experienced Trailer Mechanic to join a stable local Salt Lake trailer fabrication and service company.
The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for service, repairs, preventive maintenance, and fabrication of trailers.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Excellent Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 an hour DOE to start - not a "flat-rate" shop.

This is a "direct-hire" opportunity and not a "temp" or "contract" position.
Essential Functions of the Trailer Mechanic / Diesel Technician position include:
Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs all containers and genets, as required.
Performs maintenance or repairs in accordance with company standards that may include, chassis, suspension, braking systems, electrical, skin, and door work.
Completes a safety risk assessment prior all work performed
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical problems
Perform repair and maintenance on trailers in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
Must be consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resolving problems.
Conducts general and non-scheduled maintenance, including inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing components and systems.
Qualifications for the Trailer Mechanic / Diesel Technician position include:
Must have a minimum of 2-4 years trailer technician / trailer mechanic or diesel technician diesel mechanic experience. Prefer previous skin & door work, chassis, suspension, and ABS brake experience.
Troubleshoot & repair suspension, brakes, electrical & hydraulic issues experience is needed.
Previous welding experience is required.
Previous axle alignment or diesel mechanic experience is a plus
Must own tools and toolbox that correspond with experience.
