Role: Solutions Architect


Technology: Parallel processing database and predictive analytic solutions proven to help life scientists make critical R&D discoveries not previously possible


Responsibilities: serve as the technology project lead in helping new and prospective customers communicate their needs and apply the technology to address the needs, including managing the proof-of-concept process. The roles requires heavy hands-on programming with R or Perl.


Location: 25 minutes northwest of Boston. Can work from home up to 20%+- of the week


Travel: up to “20%” …2 – 3 times per quarter, most often to life science companies in the Northeast, but can also infrequently include the West Coast and Europe


Compensation: up to $190k plus equity and benefits

Candidate Criteria:

  • Computer science or math degree, preferably a Masters degree (but not required)
  • Three + years of professional experience since graduating college
  • Experience in the life sciences industry, familiar with the terms genotype and phenotype
  • Recent and deep experience programming in R, Python, C++, TensorFlow over MatLab, perl, java
  • Statistical analysis and library experience, i.e., Matlab, Keras, etc.
  • Linux experience
  • Database experience
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable interacting with several types of technical and non-technical roles
  • Pragmatic and driven enough to meet intermittent spikes in workload (NOT constant, but also not always flatline) … a sense of urgency is required. This is a smaller, high growth company
  • Can take direction, but also independently understand what is required when there is ambiguity
