Career opportunity: Boston based Sales professional to sell a cloud-based marketplace for the procurement and sales of custom manufactured parts between manufacturers requiring custom parts and custom job shop vendors.

Compensation:

Technology: manufacturing intelligence and machine learning-based pricing engine that automates the process of delivering pricing quotes for job specifications (3d CAD model, etc., entered via cloud portal): the result is better gross profits on the job, more sales opportunities, reduced selling costs, faster response times, and greater customer satisfaction

Company mission: reduce costs and improve productivity by introducing dramatic efficiency gains in the process of procuring custom manufactured parts; including product development, engineering, and purchasing

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop new custom job shop customers
  • Manage the funnel
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and signups
  • Implement an outbound sales campaign via email and phone calls, refining messaging and identifying potential leads inside target companies
  • Conduct in-person visits with qualified leads and build trust needed to close sales
  • Work closely with the executive team on inbound lead generation strategy
  • Grow into a sales leadership position and recruit new team members
  •

  • Requested Candidate profile:

  • 2-5 years of professional sales experience with strong familiarity with sales pipeline reporting
  • Experienced selling lots of small deals ($2k to $10k per year)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization and the ability to craft and refine effective messaging
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Can get excited about a company and solution that favorably impacts small US manufacturers
  • The desire to grow into a sales leadership position and recruit new team members
