Summary of Position:
The Strategic Account Manager is a senior-level role that performs and supports projects and account management processes of products. This role is responsible for maintaining relationships with our key accounts portfolio while working to achieve set account objectives.
The Strategic Account Manager will work closely with the key customers that generate maximum revenue and profitability.
They will resolve customer issues, research, and recommend potential product enhancements or modifications to increase sales while reviewing project risks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essentials Functions:
- Maintaining assigned key accounts and providing ongoing client support.
- Developing and implementing client relationship management strategies.
- Communicating with key clients to monitor client expectations and satisfaction.
- Establish strong, long-term client relationships.
- Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries.
- Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs.
- Handle complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner and escalate them to the Director as needed.
- Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.
- As customer or industry needs are discovered, communicating them to the Director
- Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Ensure projects are on track to meet targets by regularly assessing their progress and taking remedial action when necessary.
Order Processing Duties:
- Review order enter by 1st checkers and correct orders as needed to aid in releases.
- Verify order accuracy and completeness by checking product codes, quantities pricing etc.
Sales Support Duties:
- Preparing proposals and communicating details as required.
- Create presentation documents to best support customers and projects to facilitate specification and decision making.
- Call customers, provide product information, and follow up on quotes to close PO’s.
- Data entry of sales opportunities into CRM.
- Updates knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, various marketing promotional services and similar data for the customer and assists with conducting showroom visits.
Core Needs:
- Up to 80% Travel
- CAD / CET / DESIGN Experience (Proficient in CAD/Rhino)
- Excel and Project Management Experience
- PPT / Presentation Skills

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3-5 years sales experience or Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Must have excellent presentation skills. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone, via email and in person, and the demonstrated use of effective written and verbal communication skills.
