About us

We are an expanding Foam Fabrication job shop. We produce many types of packaging, containers and tool control out of an assortment of different foams and plastics. We have a diverse group of end users in many different markets like electronics, automotive, aviation, and military. We design and produce a wide variety of products from simple foam pads to very complex multi material and multi process foam systems every day.

Responsibilities

This Product Designer position is responsible for working with sales and customers to create foam designs and layouts based on customer requirements. This position will be responsible for each design throughout the entire development & production process. Steps along this process can include Drafting, programing CNC Router and Waterjets, and hands on assembly and cutting of prototypes. This person will report to senior designer.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

• Design products in AUTOCAD LT.
• Create CNC programs for Routers and Waterjets.
• Work with CNC operators to optimize CNC programs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customers, both in the office and onsite, to understand all specifications for the project.
• Knowledge of different materials to determine the best solution for any application.
• Hands on assembly of prototypes & samples.
• Track all changes through the life cycle of a product.
• Create drawings for customers to approve.
• Create detailed production drawing.
• Complete and provide first article inspection reports to customers when needed.
• Logging, Tracking, and Reporting on the status of design jobs.

  Qualifications:

  2+ years of experience in product design.

  2D drafting experience.

  *
  Proficiency in MS Office.

  *
  Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  *
  Ability to work under tight deadlines.

  *
  Ability to track multiple projects at one time.

  *
  Packaging or plastics experience is a plus.

  *
  CNC programing experience is a plus.
