Summary of Position:
The Inside Sales Rep is an entry to mid-level role that performs activities associated with lead generation through inbound lead responsiveness and outbound proactive prospecting, specifying, quoting, ensuring a streamlined ordering process, and overall support of a territory selling products that require knowledge of the unique and/or specialized nature of Senior Living and Healthcare.
This role is responsible for providing the pre- and post-sales support functions for the Company product line to both current and potential new customers of the product through inbound & outbound prospecting efforts and by contributing to a team based selling model, supporting the efforts of the representative, business development managers, regional sales managers, and/or direct client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales Duties:
- Generate incremental revenue by providing sales coverage in assigned territory.
- Work w/ the territory team(s) to align focus areas, build a pipeline and close opportunities (through website research & CRM data).
- Through quality connections w/ customers, build, qualify, forecast, and close sales opportunities, all the while making sound decisions regarding lead follow-up.
- Support regional demand generation activities through inbound (responding to and handling customer inquiries) and outbound customer communications.
- Keep detailed records of dedicated prospecting, activities and lead status within Salesforce.
- Manage relationships with current customers to ensure they are fully aware of new products & initiatives to drive incremental revenue.
- Sales Support Duties:
- Create & deliver quotes to customers as requested.
- Create presentation documents to best support customers and projects to facilitate specification and decision-making.
- Assist outside sales representatives and other sales staff in all aspects of support to include operational, production, and administrative functions.
- Timely resolution of missing information on orders to ensure they are released to the factory within 48 hours.
- Coordinate and facilitate no charge orders: samples and warranties.
- Customer Service Duties:
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and inquiries and ensure effective customer relations.
- Work with reps, outside sales staff and end-users to support room layout, rendering and specifications.
- Recognize and escalate all critical issues to management immediately.
- Account Duties:
- Produce weekly and monthly activity reports and forecasts by use of the CRM.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4-year degree from an accredited University or College or 3-5 years of work-related experience.
- Ability to self-motivate to meet and or exceed daily, weekly and monthly goals, ambitious, strong work ethic w/ an upbeat attitude.
- Interpersonal skills: effective verbal (on the phone & in person) and written communication skills; able to consistently and appropriately up-sell; understand and use basic selling techniques - open, probe, presentation, and overcoming objections.
- Technical proficiency: has working knowledge of voicemail, e-mail, all MS Office products, internet and web browsers.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic & troubleshooting skills with dedicated approach in getting results.
- Understand buying decisions, buying processes and cash flow dynamics of small to medium account opportunities and future growth potential of the respective accounts.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to excite/relate to customers at all levels.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; and to work on multiple projects and prioritize those projects based on importance without direction.
- Technical and Consultative Sales experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
