Agility Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Administrator to join our corporate payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of payroll processing operations across the organization. You will work closely with HR and business unit contacts to maintain data integrity and uphold all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute established controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy of employee payroll data
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
  • Audit and load time data from ADP Smart Compliance or other sources such as Excel
  • Understand the flow of data from HR and ADP through to the general ledger
  • Process manual check requests in accordance with legal, business unit, and company policy requirements
  • Perform special payroll-related calculations such as retroactive payments, time-off accruals, and similar adjustments
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business unit HR and payroll contacts
  • Input and maintain payroll data including direct deposits, garnishments, bonuses, and related records
  • Review and coordinate payroll processing calendars and schedules
  • Audit pre- and post-payroll processes
  • Apply sound judgment in interpreting company policies, union contracts, and legal regulations as they relate to payroll
  • Respond to HR staff and employees regarding payroll inquiries
  • Assist in the review and input of federal and state W-4 data and local tax withholding setup as needed
  • Create and maintain Excel-based reports
  • Perform general ledger analysis related to payroll accounts as needed
  • Conduct data analysis and testing of new system extensions

     

     

 

  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of computerized payroll systems; ADP experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations including federal and state wage and hour laws and tax laws
  • Ability to perform basic to moderate mathematical calculations with precision
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed analysis of payroll data
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve payroll-related issues while maintaining complete and accurate records
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-resolution skills
  • Proficiency in PC applications including Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Word

     




Compensation: 100,000
