REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the tractor and agricultural sales industry. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in selling agricultural machinery, with a strong background in handling large-scale farmers, managing loan programs for farmers. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the region.
This position also requires the ability to liaise with financial institutions offering loans to farmers and work closely with local government bodies on agricultural initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Lead sales activities for the company's tractor products, fertilizers, seeds and agrochemicals within the assigned region.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market penetration goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with large-scale farmers, dealers, agricultural cooperatives and other stakeholders.
- Drive new business opportunities and enhance market share in the region by identifying potential customers and understanding their needs.
- Actively promote and sell the full range of agricultural solutions including machinery, fertilizers, seeds and agrochemicals.
- Establish a local network of farmers, dealers and suppliers to ensure consistent product distribution and support.
Customer Relationship & Loan Management:
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with financial institutions providing loans to farmers (e.g. banks, microfinance institutions, agricultural finance companies) to facilitate financing options for tractor purchases and agricultural inputs.
- Work with farmers to educate them about financing options and help facilitate loan approvals.
- Provide post-sale support to customers, ensuring loan repayment and maintaining ongoing relationships with loan institutions.
- Collaborate with local government bodies on agricultural financing programs, ensuring compliance with government regulations and assisting farmers in accessing government-backed agricultural support programs.
Team Management & Support:
- Oversee a team of sales representatives and ensure they are meeting their sales targets and maintaining excellent customer service.
- Provide regular training and guidance to team members on products, sales techniques and customer management.
- Prepare and present sales performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges and opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to adjust strategies as necessary.
- Develop market insights to ensure the company’s products remain competitive and meet customer needs.
- Regularly report on sales performance, customer feedback and regional market conditions.
Collaboration & Networking:
- Act as a liaison between the company, financial institutions and local governments to facilitate smooth operations and successful loan programs.
- Work with local government agencies to stay informed about agriculture-related subsidies, programs and regulations that may affect sales.
- Attend agricultural trade shows, industry events and conferences to network and promote the company’s products.
Educational Requirements and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or courses in agricultural finance, sales or agribusiness management will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development in the agriculture sector, specifically in tractor sales, farm equipment or agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, agrochemicals).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale farmers, particularly those involved in financing and loans for agriculture.
- Experience working with financial institutions (banks, microfinance institutions, etc.) on loan programs for farmers.
- Solid understanding of the agricultural market, especially in machinery and input sales.
- Prior experience working with local government bodies or agricultural financing programs is highly desirable.

- Strategic thinking with a solution-oriented mindset to handle complex sales and financing negotiations.
- Good understanding of loan programs, government policies and financial options available for farmers.
- Strong leadership skills to manage a sales team effectively.
- Analytical skills to assess market conditions, sales performance and customer needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
