The Director of Treasury is a key financial leadership role responsible for managing the organization's cash flow, banking relationships, investments, and financial risk. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations, optimizes the return on its assets, and mitigates financial risks. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, coupled with a deep understanding of treasury principles and practices. This key role within our Finance organization will drive leadership in cash flow management, investments, financial risk mitigation, working capital, and treasury infrastructure, ensuring the company's continued growth and success.
Essential Job Functions:

- Provide leadership in the Treasury function, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Oversee all aspects of treasury operations, such as cash management, liquidity forecasting, funding strategies, and the company's financial infrastructure.
- Develop and implement effective cash management strategies to optimize cash flow across all of Wismettac's operations in North America.
- Responsible for the oversight of the entity's short-term and long-term cash forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s liquidity requirements and accurate financial projections.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, Finance/Accounting, and other divisions, to develop and maintain Treasury technology solutions and processes. Implement technologies, products, and services to streamline and simplify company operations.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance treasury operations processes, working collaboratively with other divisions and branch offices.
- Lead investment strategies, ensuring optimal strategies to maximize returns in alignment with the company’s risk profile and liquidity requirements.
- Monitor capital markets for changes to perceived market risks and propose changes to investment strategy in collaboration with executives.
- Lead the management of bank relationships, including negotiating banking agreements and fees.
- Monitor daily cash positions for the parent company and branch offices, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing cash deployment.
- Manage global cash movements, including operating needs, intercompany transfers, receipt accounts, customer credit, capital transactions, reporting on treasury activities, and the overall strategy for efficient use of cash across the organization.
- Analyze variances in the cash forecast and budgets, providing detailed explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- Review, prepare, and effectively communicate cash flow reports, financial accounting records, and other relevant reports to senior leadership.
Experience/ Training/ Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in a multi-national corporate treasury environment
- 8 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in treasury, cash and liquidity management, working capital, and trade finance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- Demonstrated ability in treasury, cash and liquidity management, working capital management, and trade finance.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting related to foreign currency and investments.
- Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity forecasting, financial risk management, and treasury operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive strategic initiatives, support organizational growth, and inspire and mentor a team.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, research, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of personnel, both internally and externally, within a global setting.
- Exhibits a strong executive presence, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated proactive thinking, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of business goals, with the ability to make informed decisions to optimize and manage processes effectively.

- Strong personal network of industry contacts in major target corporations and financial institutions.
