Our client, a leading firm in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking a strategic benefits manager to lead the function. With one direct report, you will oversee and continuously improve benefits offerings with an eye for market competitiveness. 

Total Compensation: $150-170k, Base $130-145k

· Develop benefits onboarding (design, deliver and maintain accurate benefits materials and orientations)

· Manage enrollments (setting up and managing Open Enrollment, running reports to ensure timely and complete enrollment, auditing vendor billing and enrollment records, and analyzing processes for efficiency and compliance)

· Respond to daily benefits questions from employees, resolve issues that are raised and escalate for vendor support as needed.

· Approve billing and assist in projecting cost for all health and wellness benefits

· Proactively manage leaves of absence vendor, including the relationship with our administrators and internal managers.

· Manage benefits vendor and consultant relationships

· Develop initial budgetary recommendations and document spend. Monitor and operate within the parameters of the approved health and welfare budget with respect to daily operations, seeking

approval for escalated expense and initiatives

· Design and oversee the wellness program and initiatives

· Conduct the annual 401(k) audit and non-discrimination testing

· Analyze processes to ensure efficiency; make suggestions for improvements

· Communicate, market and train staff on benefits, changes and impacts

· Ensure that all information on company intranet (inclusive of legal documentation/notices, links, benefit offerings and programs) is up to date

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree, HR certifications highly desired 

10+ years progressive Benefits experience, 2-3 years managing other benefits professionals
