About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a critical strategic partner to the CEO and the executive leadership team. This role goes beyond traditional financial oversight, demanding a forward-thinking leader who can deeply analyze the business, drive strategic decision-making, and eventually take on expanded leadership across HR, IT, and manufacturing operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing, family-owned company in the specialty food space.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and accounting functions across the four consolidated entities.
  • Lead the transformation of financial operations, establishing robust processes and controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data
  • After stabilizing and optimizing financial functions, assume eventual oversight and responsibility for improving Human Resources, Information Technology, and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team to drive profitable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate in the annual offsite strategy sessions, contributing to the development and execution of long-term business plans.
  • Manage banking relationships
  • Work closely with the SVP of Operations to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across the manufacturing facilities, especially focusing on "manufacturing facility optimization."
  • Collaborate with department heads to leverage financial data for operational improvements and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the 10-person finance department, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to improve data integrity and reporting consistency across all entities.
  • Drive Financial Accuracy & Strategic Insight: Quickly establish rigorous financial processes, eliminate data inaccuracies, and provide clear, actionable financial insights that enable the President and leadership to make informed business decisions for growth.
  • Navigate Family Ownership Dynamics: Work effectively within a family-owned business structure, aligning financial strategies with long-term family goals and ensuring the family ownership remains retained during significant growth.
  • Optimize Manufacturing Efficiency: Bring fresh perspectives and financial discipline to manufacturing operations, complementing the President's brand-building strengths with a focus on facility optimization.
