Overview:

A leading television production company is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join its team on a project basis. The FP&A team plays a central role in driving financial insights, supporting deal analysis, and maintaining long-range forecasts across a diverse portfolio of scripted and unscripted programming. This team acts as a hub of financial strategy, working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to support content investment decisions.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance leader with deep analytical expertise, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to manage both processes and people in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the SVP of Finance and work alongside a senior Director, managing a team of one to two professionals.

  • Lead financial planning activities for the U.S. television production division, including the mid-range plan, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget.

  • Review and manage content ultimates to support forecasting, deal modeling, and financial reporting.

  • Partner closely with senior leadership, strategy, operations, and business affairs teams to provide scenario modeling and strategic insights for content investments.

  • Ensure financial controls are maintained within the planning and ultimate review process.

  • Support ad hoc analyses and operational/financial projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, consulting, investment banking, or finance roles within media/entertainment

  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred

  • Prior experience in entertainment finance highly desirable

  • Strong command of Excel and financial modeling

  • Effective communicator with excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments

  • Leadership and team management experience a plus
