Job Summary:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead technology strategy for a prominent real estate investment management firm. This role is responsible for understanding business goals, assessing technology needs, and staying up-to-date on relevant technology trends. The CTO will propose new technological initiatives to the executive team, lead IT resources, and oversee system implementation and support. A key aspect of the role is working with senior management to define a technology roadmap that supports growth, scalability, and operational efficiency over the next three years.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead the IT Steering Committee, aligning strategy with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage annual IT budgets in line with business strategy
- Monitor technology trends to maintain a competitive edge
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team
- Oversee the delivery of solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and business outcomes
- Lead vendor management, contract negotiations, and system evaluations
- Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure data privacy and security
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity programs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for IT systems and operations
- Build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to improve performance and minimize costs

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, real estate, finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in real estate, financial services, or related industries
- Familiar with SEC security regulations
- Experience with real estate software (Yardi, MRI, Argus, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and IT infrastructure technology
- Power BI experience is a plus
