About the role:

Our Renewable Energy Client, who is rapidly growing, is seeking a financial leader to drive their pursuit to maximize profitability and optimize their accounting processes and reporting. The Corporate Controller will partner with the CFO and build and create efficient processes as the Company plans on going Public within the next couple of years. Their most ideal candidate will have progressive accounting experience at a Public Company and a Public Accounting upbringing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.
• Oversee and support General Accounting, Fixed Assets and Payroll teams with dynamic leadership creating an environment of trust, high performance, and productivity.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and adherence to GAAP principles.
• Manage technical accounting, consolidations and reporting of company financial statements.
• Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
• Perform assigned, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities within closing timelines and assist the organization in any other areas that may require assistance in meeting their closing timelines.
• Coordinate with FP&A to produce monthly and quarterly Forecast vs. Actual reporting.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews as necessary.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance on growth, efficiency, and profitability improvements.
• Provide proactive, excellent cross-functional support to various departments, embodying a customer service mentality.
• Develop and implement key accounting policies and procedures and financial and internal controls to ensure effective risk management for a high growth environment.
• Manage, review and update cost standards.
• Plan and manage the efficient conduct of the annual financial audits.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Public Company experience required.
• Public Accounting experience highly desired.
• CPA license highly desired.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
