Our Client is a Series C SaaS company experiencing rapid growth. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional who can own the revenue function and support additional accounting responsibilities.
This is a lean team, so a hands-on professional with an exceptional blend of technical acumen and communication skills is the ideal candidate. An Active CPA, SaaS experience, and revenue experience are required.
What You Will Be Working On
- Conduct regular reviews of revenue transactions, ensuring proper verification, classification, recording, and reconciliation of sales-related journal entries.
- Take ownership of reconciliation processes between source systems tracking customer usage and metering, and the Company’s various invoicing platforms.
- Manage the accounts receivable process for cloud marketplaces including review of distribution reports to ensure accurate and complete internal reporting; investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform monthly and daily Marketplace Reconciliation by reconciling disbursement reports from AWS, GCP, and Azure and recording related disbursement journal entries. All marketplace inputs into NetSuite are handled manually, and the role requires close review of entries for abnormalities such as missing customer payments.
- Manually input Committed Spend invoices into the ERP system for marketplace customers and apply corresponding payments. Assist with weekly analysis of delinquent accounts to ensure timely collection and reporting.
- Track Committed Spend Detail Input and Reconciliation for both direct and marketplace customers by monitoring ~15–20 contracts per month. Identify overages/underages, ensure appropriate journal entries are recorded, and reconcile committed spend by contract and payment status.
- Oversee international and domestic tax documentation and revenue-related compliance, forms, and analytical reporting.
- Support monthly tax provider requests by identifying and fulfilling PBC (Prepared By Client) deliverables.
- Post and reconcile general ledger accounts including deferred revenue, accounts receivable, accrued revenue, and recognized revenue, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and that all activity is accurately reflected in financial records.
- Produce and present revenue analytics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for cross-functional business partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve existing finance and accounting processes, collaborating with internal teams to drive accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
- Lead the selection and implementation of revenue tools that enhance operational efficiency and data reliability.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate the collection of audit documentation and underlying support.
- Partner with the broader Operations team and other cross-functional stakeholders on special projects and ad hoc tasks.

What You Bring Along
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Active CPA required
- Strong knowledge of software revenue recognition (ASC 606) and accounting best practices
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
- Experience with ERP and billing systems, specifically NetSuite and Stripe, strongly preferred
