Summary:

Rapidly growing consumer product goods (CPG) client is seeking an experienced Corp. Controller with hands on experience in driving change and developing strategic indicatives.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial and accounting operations
• Position will have blended finance and accounting responsibilities 
• Perform accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports; accounts payable, receivable and assist in improvements of policies and procedures.
• Create monthly financial statements, managing P&L
• Reconciling bank recs, credit cards, prepaids, and fixed assets
• Prepares, reviews or approves account reconciliations for corporation’ s entities and accounts, as required
• Manage corporate taxes (with outsourced vendor) and ensure compliance with sales/use/other tax requirements and filings
• Review post-consolidation entries and oversee all intercompany processes and reconciliations including resolution of intercompany imbalances.
• Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions including general ledger and financial systems to ensure compliance.
• Design, implement and participate in projects and activities to support company growth through process improvement activities.
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; and provide budget to actual variance reporting.
• Present quarterly financial results and updates on process improvements and control initiatives to Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
• Supports external audit inquiries and periodic close processes.

 

Qualifications:

• 8 -15+ years of GL experience (3+ years at the Controller ship level)
• CPA
• Big 4 or Mid-Tier public audit experience (highly preferred)
• CPG experience
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
