Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT)
Location: Irvine, California (Hybrid)
Position Summary
The VP of IT will lead IT strategy, operations, and security, ensuring technology supports business growth, compliance, and efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a background in healthcare IT.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership- Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee IT budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Identify emerging technologies to drive business improvements.
Security, Compliance & M&A Support- Ensure HIPAA compliance and manage IT security programs.
- Implement security measures and conduct risk assessments.
- Support IT integration for mergers and acquisitions.
Team & Vendor Management- Lead internal IT teams and external Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Manage vendor contracts, performance, and security assessments.
- Establish performance metrics and foster accountability.
Infrastructure & Technical Support- Oversee cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Manage IT support operations and call center technology.
- Ensure business continuity and system reliability.
Systems Integration & Development- Integrate SaaS solutions to optimize business operations.
- Lead data warehouse and reporting system development.
- Utilize RPA tools to streamline processes and explore AI applications.
Project Management & Collaboration- Lead IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery.
- Partner with leadership to enhance operational efficiency through technology.
- Analyze and improve business processes to support growth.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years in IT, including 10+ in senior management within healthcare.
- Proven experience in:
- HIPAA compliance and IT security management
- Mergers & Acquisitions (IT integration)
- MSP management and vendor oversight
- Project management and IT strategy development
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- SaaS integration and Microsoft 365
- Data management, SQL, and reporting systems
- Robotic process automation (RPA)
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a 24/7 environment.
- Hybrid work and travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare operations and revenue cycle management.
- IT governance and regulatory compliance expertise.
- ERP system implementation experience.
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools.
