Assistant Controller to supervise day-to-day activities of the Accounting and Accounts Payable team, assume responsibility for a smooth monthly financial close, and work with the CFO in further designing and building our accounting and finance organization as the company continues to scale. The Asst. Controller will report to the Controller and work closely with all leaders of the business

Responsibilities

Have an eye towards building processes that scale with the company. This requires enthusiasm and energy, organized and systematic thinking, efficiency in action, attention to detail, and collegiality to work across departments and functions. You will have managerial responsibilities and will be expected to inspire and lead a team small but growing.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee all corporate accounting matters including billing, A/R and A/P, inventory accounting, preparation of financial statements, audits, tax, and other regulatory compliance matters

• Oversee a timely monthly close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages

• Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and internal policies.

• Implement cost control measures and strategies to optimize financial performance, while maintaining quality and compliance, in coordination with FP&A and other department leads 

• Oversee manufacturing and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation

• Lead engagements with external advisors on planning and executing financial and regulatory audits, tax, and other select accounting matters

• Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls

• Ensure all financial and regulatory filings, including tax and compliance documents, are submitted accurately and on time, maintaining a record of punctual and error-free submissions to meet legal requirements and prevent penalties.
